Most of us are aware of the major categories like Whole Hog, Shoulder & Ribs; but did you know you could be the next Champion in a dozen+ other contests?
Here is an example from this years Tennessee Funfest (formerly Lakeland). The lists vary from contest to contest, but this should give you a good idea. Choose something that interests you and start coming up with that world famous recipe that is hidden inside of you. Grab a partner or two from the team and and put your heads together!
As of right now; the Team will be doing at least one of the major categories, hot wings and submitting our sauce to the appropriate category. Anyone on the team interested in doing Baked beans? Margaritas? Speak up and start practising!!!!!
If you become a part of one of the ancillary categories you will have a great deal of fun and learn a lot, not to mention you will be contributing to the "Team" effort.
